iPhone 16 vs. iPhone 12: Is the iPhone 16 upgrade worth it?
After using an iPhone 12 mini for four years, I finally upgraded to the iPhone 16. However, I quickly realized that not much had changed.

- Camera improvements: The iPhone 16 camera can take 48-megapixel photos, and it has some new features like adjusting “Undertones” and “Mood” for more natural-looking images. However, these are mostly minor tweaks to an already great camera.
- New buttons: Apple added an “action button” and a “Camera Control button” to the iPhone 16. While these are fun new features, they don’t change the overall user experience dramatically.
Conclusion: Not a Huge Difference
Despite these updates, the iPhone 16 didn’t offer much that I couldn’t live without. It was more like a new toy than a significant upgrade. So, the iPhone 16 upgrade will not worthy.
Apple’s Incremental Improvements: A Sign of Success?
While some may see the iPhone 16’s small updates as a disappointment, it actually highlights how successful Apple has been. The iPhone is already so good that it’s hard to imagine what more could be added.

Growing Criticism
During my visit to the Apple Store, I spoke with a protester named M. She was against the launch of the iPhone 16 due to the human rights issues linked to its production, particularly in places like Congo. M pointed out that the minor differences between the iPhone 15 and 16 don’t justify the environmental and ethical costs.
M’s argument is that most of us don’t need a phone that’s “better, stronger, and faster” every year. We’re mainly using our phones for simple tasks like watching YouTube videos or scrolling through social media. The constant push for better specs isn’t necessary for everyday users.
